A Hand Up Community Resource Center is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Louisville that is committed to serving low-income wage earners and economically challenged individuals.
Since our founding in October 2017, we’ve impacted the lives of over 1,000 people by offering vital education around financial literacy, homeownership, youth violence prevention, mental health awareness, meeting urgent financial needs, and providing food and clothing to the unhoused.
We provide direct financial assistance to individuals and families needing emergency assistance or refer them to other community organizations that may be better equipped to help.
Our emergency financial assistance has included everything from assisting with delinquent utility bills, providing groceries, minor car repairs so individuals and families can continue to work to resume and job readiness training for our youth.
Many individuals were in danger of losing their financial independence without our assistance.
We help the economically vulnerable by connecting and empowering individuals and families with vital services. Your generosity will provide resources and training to those who need it most.
