How It Works

Those seeking assistance can find our complete application located under the table “Get Help”.  Once you have completed the application and uploaded the required documentation, we will contact you to let you know we have received the application.  Within 72 hours, the information will be reviewed and verified.  Applicants will be notified of our intent to meet the need.  Payment will be submitted directly to the vendor.

Disclosure

In keeping with our mission, our program is designed to provide resources that will help to avoid the possible loss that would be incurred if help was not available.

As a matter of policy, we do not ever give cash directly to the persons who apply for help. Rather, when applications have been approved, we assist the person who has requested our help by remitting payment directly to the vendor or creditor named in the applicant’s documentation.

We do not charge a fee and applicants are never asked to repay any monies given on their behalf. We only ask that they allow us to share their stories and testimonies with our supporters and funders while guarding and protecting their identities.

A Hand Up CRC deeply values its community of volunteers and community partners including nonprofits, schools, associations, businesses, and faith-based organizations that participate in our programs.

We are expressly nonpolitical and are not aligned with any political party, creed, organization, or movement.
